【Why did we choose to offer an entire house rental?】

When we decided to create a place to stay,
we found ourselves thinking less about
what kind of space it should be,
and more about the kind of time
that would be spent there.

Looking back on the places we stayed
during our travels,
what remained with us
was not the facilities or the size of the rooms,
but who we spent time with,
and what kind of experiences
we had in those places.

At the time, before COVID,
staying in an entire house rental
was still not very common.

Even so,
the time we spent in a few
entire house rentals during our travels
left a lasting impression on us.

Using the kitchen of the house,
cooking as if we were living there,
and enjoying our meals
with tableware and glasses
that reflected the owner’s personal taste.

It was a warm and personal space
where we could sense
the character and lifestyle of the host—
something quite different
from hotels or traditional inns.

When we realized that
it was the way we spent our time there—
rather than the place itself—
that stayed in our memories,

we began to feel that
what we wanted to create
was not a place where people gather,
but a place where time is spent.

Not having to constantly
be mindful of others around us,
or adjust how we spend our time
in shared spaces,
but being able to relax
and move at our own pace.

Welcoming just one group per day,
offering an entire house rental
was one way for us
to create a space
where time could flow freely
without interruption.

Rather than simply staying somewhere,
we hoped it would feel
as though you were living there.

And that the time spent while traveling
could gently continue
into everyday life
even after returning home.
